Why is botox done?
To reduce the facial lines of ageing- temporarily, by weakening the muscles that help cause those lines.
How long does it last?
4-6 months – but it can have a longer lasting effect by allowing the muscles to weaken
Which areas are usually done?
Upper facial muscles such as the forehead lines, frown line & crows feet, jaw muscles / masseter muscle for those who pathologically gnash their teeth or for aesthetic reasons for sharpening the shape of the face
